The camp is situated in the heart of Sumur village in Nubra valley (Average altitude 10,000 feet about sea level), home of yhe 150 year old Samstanling monastery. Sumur is 120 kms from Leh on the bank of themajestic Siachen river. To reach the Nubra valley one has to cross the highest motorable road in the world Khardungla at 18300 feet. 25mins divide from the camp is the small yet beautiful Lhuyan lake atop a small hill on the way to the famous hot springs of Panamic. 35 mins drive from the camp is situated the famous sand dunes and double humped camel rides of Deskit. The camp is situated in Sumur the home of the Majestic Samstanling monastery.
