Kalimpong is a small hill station situated at an altitude of 1250m renowned for its panoramic views, Buddhists monasteries and churches, traditional British style structures, Tibetan handicrafts, charitable and educational institutions and many flowering gardens(nurseries). Earlier it was a subdivision of Darjeeling district, but now it is a separate district of West Bengal. Due to its mild and pleasant weather combined with magnificent mountain views, sweeping landscapes and lush greenery, it has become one of the all time favorite place to visit for tourists.
