A Buddhist Monastery in Namobuddha

Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery located at the sacred pilgrimage site of Namo Buddha is a Tibetan monastery belonging to the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded by Khenchen Thrangu Rimppoche in 1978, the monastery has grown such that today it is home to more than 250 monks and includes a monastic college, a school for young monks and a Tibetan Medical clinic. The Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery located on the top of a hill is covered with sacred flags and offers a fine view of Himalayas and traditional Nepalese villages.
