Barahi Temple || lake temple
The Tal Barahi Temple also known as the -˜Lake Temple' is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess durga(barahi), the protector of gods. The temple sits on a small island on the south east section of the Phewa lake. The exterior of the temple includes a two story pagoda structure with a gajur on top. Devotees are seen especially on Saturdays making their way to the temple carrying animals for sacrifice. As the temple is situated at the middle of the Phewa lake, the only way to visit the temple is by a boat.
