At 2547m Chandragiri hill top provides uninterrupted 180 degree views of mountains like Ganesh himal, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Lantang, Mt. Dorje Lakpa and others. The cable car journey starts from Godam, Thankot, and traverse through a scenic view of lush green forests below. The 2.5 km cable car ride takes 9 minutes to reach the Chandragiri Hills' top station.
On the top of Chandragiri hill, walk around and enjoy the beautiful view of the Kathmandu valley and the great Himalayan range from west to east. Visit the Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple, a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site. Enjoy lunch at one of the restaurant with great mountain view, after lunch you have the option to return back the same way or hike for about 2.5 hours downhill to Thankot.
