Chukarpo to Thampe Tsho || Chukarpo to Thampe Tsho (Lunana Trek)
Approx. 18km, 5-6 hours trek / 400m ascent, 640m descent
We continue descend along the bank of the river until we reach a yak pasture at Gala Pang Chhu (4010m). You may be able to see some Takins, on the hills across the river. From here we begin to climb quite steeply through junipers and silver firstowards Thampe Tsho. Our campsite (4300m) is at the far end of beautiful clear, turquoise lake, set in a bowl and surounded by steep mountain walls
