Tharpa Choling Monastery is located on the Tirpai Hills, it is one of the oldest and one of the three important monastery in Kalimpong belonging to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Perched on a hilltop, this beautiful monastery with its colourful idols of the presiding deity creates a perfect peaceful ambience. Due to its calm and peaceful surrounding, monks from different places come here to spend some time for meditation.
