Kathmandu - Chitwan Drive
The total distance from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park(Sauraha) is about 165km and it takes about 4-5hrs. Leaving Kathmandu we drive on the Thribhuvan Highway to Nagdhunga and then descend down the hill to Naubise. From Naubise we continue on the Prithivi Highway up to Mugling Junction following the bends of the Trishuli river through rich subtropical forests. Then continue on Mahendra highway to Sauraha, the gateway to Chitwan National Park. Chitwan National Park is the best place to experience the wilderness and to enjoy the natural beauty of Nepal.
