Napa Lake || Gyalthang
At the northern end of Zhongdian's plain, towards Dechen is seasonal Napa Lake, which is often occupied by nomads' camps. This beautiful marshland is part of Napa Lake Nature reserve, which is an important wintering ground for the migratory black-necked crane and some wild fowl. In spring the meadow is in bloom with the bleak mountains backdrop. In summer, after the rains, the water level rises, but in winter it almost dries up again.
