Phensang Monastery || Phensang Monastery
The Phensang Monastery is located in the north Sikkim on the gentle slope that spreads from Kabi to Phodong. This monastery was built in the year 1721 during the reign of Jigme Pawo, It belongs to Nyingmapa Order and serves as the residence of approximately three hundred monks. This monastery was engulfed by a catastrophic fire in 1947 and it was completely rebuilt a year later.
