Phulchowki hill || Hill of flowers
Phulchowki lies to the south of Kathmandu and is the highest hill surrounding the Kathmandu Valley (2791mts). The mountain is covered by a natural garden full of beautiful wild roses, yellow jasmine, iris and other native flowers. The hike starts from Godavari through thick forests of oak, rhododendron and several species of orchids, birds and butterflies. It takes a few hours to reach the top and return as there is no facility of overnight stay at the top. The hike to the hill top is worth the effort as it provides breathtaking view of Kathmandu valley and the surrounding Himalayas.
