Punakha Suspension Bridge
Punakha suspension bridge is one of the longest bridges in Bhutan measuring roughly 520 feet long. A bridge that is always adorned with colorful prayer flags. The cables are anchored to massive cement blocks on the banks. Being suspended, the bridge does have some inbuilt flexibility that makes it swing in strong winds. The deck is made of solid planks of wood nested in the deck truss. The bridge links Punakha Dzong and the village's other side such as Shengana. It is a good spot to a take snap with a background of rivers and valleys.
