Shama Lhakhang || Shama Taktsang
Shama Lhakhang is situated next to Taktsang but is not directly accessible from there. Instead, visitors must ascend to Ugyen Tsemo and then descend steeply from the back for about 15 minutes to reach it. In the past, there was a small wooden bridge connecting Shama Lhakhang to Taktsang. The temple was constructed simultaneously with the other temples of Taktsang and is considered one of the most sacred caves within the complex. However, unless you are taking a longer or alternative hiking trail when leaving Taktsang, it is not part of the usual route.
