The Garden of Dreams || An oasis of Tranquility
The Garden of Dreams is a neo classical historical garden situated at the centre of Kathmandu city. This garden was created as a private garden by the late Field Marshal Kaiser Sumsher Rana in the early 20th Century . After his death the garden disintegrated over the years and was open to the visitors only after it was restored by the Austrian Government.
The garden is situated at the entrance to Thamel within the Kaiser Mahal complex. The garden is a peaceful oasis with full of unique architect and a variety of flora and fauna. If you are looking for a quiet place in the middle of the bustling city, the garden of dreams is a great place to hang out. The garden has a magnificent amphitheatre, central ponds, pergolas, urns and a combination of small gardens to larger one. There's even a small photography exhibit inside where you can see before and after photos of the gardens restoration.
