Lakeside is one of the most popular tourist destination in Pokhara. Lakeside in Pokhara is what Thamel is in Kathmandu. It lies on the eastern shore of the Phewa lake, it is divided into Lakeside, Damside and the old Pokhara city. Within Lakeside now there is a North Lakeside and South Lakeside too. There are a number of good hotels, guest houses, restaurants, cafes and pubs on either side of the Lakeside road. The shops mostly sells souvenirs and trekking gears. Rock music blare from cafes and eateries serving from regional cuisine to popular world cuisine.
