Tribhuvan Museum || Museum in Kathmandu
The Tribhuvan Museum is located inside the Hanuman Dhoka Palace overlooking the main Durbar Square area. It was constructed by the Ranas from the middle to late part of the 19th century. The museum was the main seat of the late Shah Kings of Nepal. People believe that King Tribhuvan used to watch the problem and prosperity of his people through these museum windows. The Tribhuvan Museum contains the personal artifacts of King Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah. The Museum houses a fabulous collection of historical artifacts that were owned and used by him. These include statues, woodwork, stonework, weapons, clothing's, walking stick, boxing gloves and the Kings throne. The museum also has priceless collection of coins and several photographs on display from the past historic events including his hunting trips. The museum also has a recreated model of the king's study and his bedroom. Artifacts from King Tribhuvan's life, his victories and his memories have been treasured in this museum.
