Woche to Lhedi || Woche to Lhedi Trek
Approx. 17km, about 6-7hr/980m ascent, 950m descent
Each day of trekking in this remote wilderness region of Bhutan should be savoured as no two days are the same; the diversity of beauty is uncorrupted. If we have trekked past the Woche village on the previous day, we have covered some of the distance and would have more time to savour the views. Make a gradual climb towards Keche La pass (4650m), with excellent views of surrounding mountains including Jejekangphu gang's tripple peak. The route then descends continually to small village of Thaga (4050m), with buckwheat, turnip and radish fields. From Thaga, the path drops towards Phochu river, then turns northeast towards Lhedi, which is visible in the distance along the river. Lhedi located along the river bed at 3700m is a village headquarters of Lunana with small clinic, school, wireless station but no shops.
