Bhutan – April 2006 (Guide was not so great )
Ugen, sorry we did not get a chance to meet you in Bhutan. The trip met expectations as we saw much about Buddhism. Our driver was very proficient at his job and got us where we needed to go safely. He was also helpful in other ways. Our guide, it seemed to me, needed to be more forthcoming about history and other things and events involving Bhutan. When we heard other guides around us, they often seemed better informed. Don’t get me wrong, the guide was very nice and helpful and I enjoyed his personality. The fact that the people of Bhutan live their religion is just wonderful–we never had to fear for our personal safety or about theft. You have a wonderful, beautiful country and I enjoyed being there. Thanks, Glenda
